I followed those steps but my fans don't get quiet. They should because they're Noctua fans.

what RPM are they running at? and what kind of noctuas are they? because the 3000RPM models really arn't that quiet :P

Well, this is kind of a different topic but. I'm not sure where to even connect my fans to? I have a fan splitter so I can have 3 connected at once but I have no idea where to connect it. I had it connected to the sys_fan but they never worked so I connected them to the Pwr_fan but apparently I'm not suppose to?

what motherboard do you have? also, do you have a CPU fan header free?

My motherboard is Gigabyte. I have a cpu_fan header taken but I could plug it into my fan splitter with my two other fans?

well, that could work but then as your CPU gets hot when gaming or doing something CPU intensive, all your casefans will ramp up too. so it definitely wouldn't be ideal.

when you had the fan splitter plugged into the sys_fan header, did you get any readouts from speedfan? like fanspeed or anything. also, can you see the sys_fanspeed in your BIOS?

My fans don't even work. I got no idea how to access the BIOS sorry lol, I'm new to PC's.

that's okay, we all gotta start somewhere right? :P

anyway, there should be more fan headers on your motherboard, unless it's ITX or something. can you be a bit more specific as to what model motherboard you have? gigabyte makes a lot of different models!

can you see what these letters say on your motherboard? that should be your specific model name.

Yep that looks just like it lol

lol well we know what your motherboard is now then :D

sadly though, layout on these motherboards is all very similar, in a fact that you only have two PWM fan headers, and one 3pin fan header. so we will have to make do with the cpu_fan and sys_fan headers, since speedfan needs a 4pin PWM header to control fanspeed.

what do you have plugged into your cpu_fan header now?
