Hi all,

I am looking for recommendations for a new laptop. I will be using it for some editing (good/fast performance in this is less important to me), programming, graphic design, and some light gaming on the go (optional but preferred). I know I'm asking for the world but any recommendations under $1500 would be great. I currently have my eye on the Microsoft Surface Book. Has a nice drawing feature that I would love to use. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

  • Best build quality: Lenovo Thinkpad T460p, T460s (if you want more portability).
  • Better for light gaming: Dell Inspiron 7559 (6700HQ, 16Gbs RAM, 960M, ~1200us$, you an use de cupoun SAVE10 or TENOFF)
  • Really good build quality and best for portability and editing (comes with a quadro M1000M): Dell Precision 15  5510 with a 6820HQ. This one will be a little bit more expensive than $1500 depending on what configuration you want, but currently you can get a 35% discount using the cupoun SAVE35 on precision workstations and a 10% discount using the cupoun SAVE10, until wednesday!, but it won't be as good on gaming as the 7559.
