Worth to upgrade?

Now i have a ati 6950 its old but good. Now i have 3 questions :)
1} is it wort it to flash the bios and convert a 6950 to 6970 and buy a second 6970 it will work?
2} is it worth to buy a 290x or 780   my usage is intensive gaming in 1080p ?
3} my cpu will botlenck any of these solutions?

You would need a new PSU if you wanted to crossfire, and in my personal opinion you should not get the 290X till they release non-reference cards. Wait for the 780Ti and see the price drops, and maybe a bit longer for other 290X's.

its 80 plus and 620 w its not enough gor crossfire? how many wats should i get? any sugestion in good qualities psu

I'm not that schooled on AMD in general. At this point in the game, it seems a little silly going from 6950 to 6970.

 

I think you are better off selling your 6950 and upgrading. Rather than bios flashing and then getting a second 6970.

 

And you may wont to hold off for now on upgrading. Wait for the dust to settle.

I would get the 7950/7970 since they are pretty cheap right now imo due to the new AMD R9 and R7 series release.
