Is the Asus H110M-A D3

compatible with i7 6100, ddr3 8gb RAM and my r7 370 4g?

And will it be able to run modern games medium 60fps 1080p?

It is, but honestly i wouldn't use it.

One of the good things about skylake is that it can use DDR4 memory, getting a skylake chip then using a ddr3 mobo with ddr3 ram seems a bit pointless.

Im guessing you mean an i3 6100 by the way?

Looks like it'd work just fine for gaming. The motherboard is fine for the cpu but some advanced features may not be available in the bios.

If the cpu is ddr4 and its better and cheaper then a ddr3 cpu what's pointless about it, it's only extra performance, correct? or does the ram drop in performance if it is put in with a ddr4 cpu?

Then theres the fact that DDR3 uses 1.5v, where as DDR4 uses 1.2, its possible that it could damage the cpu as its optimised for DDR4

So if I would get this combo with the lower performance ddr3 cpu you offered earlier it would be good?
