OLD Hardware School Project PC

A group of friends and I used spare parts the school had to try to build a mediocre gaming rig able to play light games like cs:go, tf2, half life, doom, and mw2.

We have a bunch of different parts we scrounged up a little every thing from a single core amd chip to a dual xeon board with processors and trash gpu's from yesteryear.

I will elaborate later tonight. (when i have some free time)

Whats Good everyone, I am part of the group that are working on the "Old Hardware School project PC"

Here is a spec sheet of the two main PC's we've scavenged and brought in. There are also some pictures I took below the spec list of the workstation PC.

 

Here is the HP xw8400 Workstation Spec List ( Some parts are not included in the original System )

 

Cpu - 2x dual core Intel Xeon 5100 Sequence @ 1.6ghz 

Motherboard - HP XW8400 Workstation Dual Xeon S771 Motherboard 380688-002

Cpu cooling - 2x xw8400 heatsink/fan 446358-001

Ram - 4x1gb ECC Registered ddr2 667mhz 

Storage - 1tb Seagate 7200rpm hdd

GPU - PNY gtx 560ti Enthusiast Edition

PSU - 800w power supply unit 

Network - None

Audio - Integrated HD Audio

Drives - 1x CD-ROM Drive

 

 

Here are the Specs for the AMD PC:

 

CPU - AMD Athlon 64 3000+

Motherbaord - Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe NVIDIA nForce4 SLI Motherboard

CPU Cooling - A10 7870k Stock cooling fan

Ram - 2x2gb IBM ddr3 667mhz 

Storage - Segate 1tb 7200rpm hdd

GPU - 2x Nvidia Quadro NVS 285 @ 275mhz

PSU - 500w Bronze certified power unit

Network - Unknown ( as of right now )

Audio - Asus integrated audio 

Drives - None
