GPU Malfunction?

Mainboard: ASUS Maximus VIII Hero
CPU: i7-6700K
GPU: XFX HD7950 DUAL FAN BLACK EDITION
RAM: HyperX Savage 2x8GB
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper T4
SSD: 128GB SanDisk
HDD: 500GB Western Digital
Drive: ASUS BluRay DVD/RW Burner
Power Supply: Corsair VS650
Monitor: Samsung LC27F936FHUXEN

HI,

I have a problem with my GPU.
It gets energy from the Mainboard and one fan spins(the other not).
Also with the Power Supply the other one don't spin.
My PC doesn't detect the GPU.

Is the GPU malfunctional or why is it so?

Sry for my bad english, i'm German :'D
Thx for all help...

There are 2 six pin power connectors on the card you NEED to plug these in. And also remember to plug your displays into the GPU not the motherboard.

If you're getting a display output from the GPU, its working fine. A lot of cards turn off 1 fan at idle to reduce noise.

As the guys above me already said, make sure the GPU is plugged in with the required PCIe connectors coming from your power supply, i would also recommend running it in the highest PCI x16 slot.

What kind of OS are you using? I have had issues with video output on Linux based operating systems. The cause of this was the iGPU in the processor. If you are also running Linux please let me know and i'll provide you with the steps i took to fix it.

There is no such thing as IRL, there is only AFK...
