Hello,

I am running an old system. An A785GM-M v. 1,0 Black Edition motherboard with an AMD Athlon II X3 450 with 2x - 2gb G. Skill F3-12800CL8D2GBTD DDR-1600 memory and a 580 watts Power Choice PSU under Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. The motherboard has a small led display for bios sequence. The board does not beep for good system but will load windows and i can use the computer only for browsing. If i load even bluestacks the program will run very slow. On the led display on the board it displays an E2 code. Does E2 mean a good system? What does E2 mean? Should it display instead an FF? Do i have an issue with the memory or the power supply? I replaced the memory with a Kingston brand also compatible with the board but still displays an E2 code. I already upgraded the bios to its latest update but still E2. What am i missing here? Please help me.

Thanks.

What kind of question is that?

Do you think anyone on this forum knows the error codes for all the motherboards in the world?

Hint: the answer is no. And they vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, by the way.

But here, I googled the list of error codes for your motherboard for you:

i have gone to that website before litargirio. i also went to other websites with bios code errors. E2 says initialize the cpu. my issue is why will it say initialize the cpu when it loads windows but runs some programs very slow. it does not beep and displays E2 on the motherboard led display. i m not asking you to know everything. i was only hoping that someone knows the answer in this forum. before i signed up to this forum i already googled E2 but nothing came up specific. i am also not asking for members of this forum to know everything. i was just hoping that someone knows my issue.

Do you have a mic connected to your motherboard?

It seems unlikely that it would not beep when the PC does actually turn on

What is your storage device?
