Hi,

I'm planning on running a VV pass-through for my E-Cig using the USB port on my K60 (Corsair) keyboard ((from the USB port).

This way I won't have to rely on my batteries - and they wont run out because of my compulsive vaping (on an e-cigarette).

What I wanted to know was - do you think its safe drawing 2 Amps from a desktop via a K60 usb port?

I'm guessing it is - but not from my laptop - but I just want some feedback from before I risk my PC parts for my nasty (now less nasty) habit.

Thanks,

I think a usb draws 500mA so drawing 2 Amps would be alot for the USB port but make sure that your motherboard is able to provide 2 Amps of power. http://event.asus.com/mb/2010/ai_charger/ This tool increases the current of the usb port but not sure if it will detect your E-Cig as a device. What motherboard are you using?

Thanks,

An Asus mItx deluxe. I think I'll have to get a powered hud for it...

It might be able to power it but I would just get a wall adapter that outputs 2 Amps.
