Hello, i am looking for a microphone which sounds great and will only pick up sound from my direction since i play in a living room with 8 people here, can you recommend my any?

Well, if you also have a need for a headset simaltaneously, id say get an Astro A40 headset.

i am using the k7xx headset with modmic but i would like to change it to a standalone mic

Blue mics are really good. I have the blue snowball ICE and I really like it.

If your budget doesn't matter, I'd go for a Blue Yeti.

Heya @MrHaMeLi - Before you go replacing our beloved ModMic (See my signature) - Are you using the uni-directional ModMic or the omni? The Uni shouldn't pick up other people in the room (I mean, unless they're shouting), so I think I or my support team may be able to help you if you're interested.

Shure SM7B or Electrovoice RE20. Pair it with a M-Audio Fast Track C400. You'll probably want a stand as well, recommend the Rode PSA1.
