Good morning all,

I'm in the middle of investigation for the theft of my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and I need to educate myself a bit while the Police Department starts their investigation.

Q: Can an MEID / IMEI be changed for a given phone?

Since I was an idiot and never added a location feature to my phone such as "Find my phone", I'm needing to resort to other methods to see if I can track it down. If the Police issue a warrant for IPs and the such I'll need all the information I can gather to authenticate the device being mine. Are there other ways to find a stolen phone?

Currently, I'm watching Craigslist hoping the idiot posts an ad for it, need to check Google and Facebook to see if they were logged in anywhere besides my work / home IPs ... but that's it. That's all I know how to do, outside of contacting the place where it was stolen from, which I'm sure the police department will at least check with. Hopefully they have surveillance on the incident to help, though I won't hold my breath.

If anyone has ideas that might help me, I'm all ears.

Thanks, as always, folks
