Hello I'm Ronin I was wondering if I could get some advice for my PC that I'm building. Its quite hard to get $2700(my budget) when your 13?. I currently have an Asus n551jk notebook and its 845m geforce died. It was a pretty crap one though. Lastly, if you say my PC that I'm building is overkill its perfectly fine.

The only thing I would change is get a 4x4GB memory kit because you can run quad channel memory on LGA 2011. And I would drop the 32 gb drive. either use the 1 tb, or get something a little bigger. it won't cost much more.

IMO I would go with a 6700k and a 1080, but it's your money.

Yes but cheaper motherboards tend to have lower quality components and he probably wants to run SLI in the future when 8k becomes available

You're telling him what to buy while making a ton of assumptions... don't do that, makes you look like an asshole.

It largely depends what you're doing with your computer. I'm going to assume you're gaming, and there are so many bad and superfluous options on this list if that is your intent. You should be looking at something more along these lines imo: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/Pt4yxY

Comes with a better gaming CPU and GPU, faster RAM, larger and cheaper boot SSD with much better performance levels; its also worth noting that SSD's do not increase gaming performance, only game loading times, so you could definitely save some money by getting only 1 smaller SSD (like a 250GB drive) and a larger HDD. chose a motherboard with on board wifi so you don't need a wifi card (which you should never really use for gaming unless you have no other choice, and you could save alot of money on a Z170 board if you don't use wifi and/or don't care about aesthetics all that much). took out all those fans you would be wasting your money on for no good reason.. the case already has plenty of airflow. You definitely don't need a sound card, especially with those speakers and headset.

but those are just my opinions. if you've chosen these parts for something other than gaming, or have specific deliberate reasons for choosing what you did.... then you do you.

Then tell us what you plan to do with your PC for use scenarios (besides gaming). Then we can give a better way of recommending stuff that might be  much cheaper and doesn't make you suffer performance or even increase it. Questions I ask myself would be like: Why x99 platform, why a seperate bootdisk while you have a big 1TB SSD, why the AIO you gonna oc?, why you want a soundcard with current onboard audio that is better...

The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.
