[PSU] Corsair HX 750i Clicks twice won't start

MadMaxtun

My Corsair HX750i PLATINUM makes a "Click Cluck" sound when i press on the start button.

The whole thing started when i "tried to" reboot the PC , it shutdown but wouldn't start again.

I narrowed the problem down to the 24pin cable(i removed the cables one by one until the 24pin cable was the last one). I managed to start the PC with a tricky but painful procedure (definitely not a permanent fix and i still wanna keep my fingers since the cable needs force to disconnect).

It would require me pulling and then reconnect the 24pin cable's side that's connected to the PSU until the PC starts ( https://youtu.be/s1GxBDNPRfw )

I seriously don't know whether the problem is caused by the cable or the PSU.

Any help would be appreciated .

Hopefully it's under warranty or if not try to get it under warranty. Some manufacturers require a purchase date, but a load of them just default the beginning of your warranty to the date you register it. like I just registered my Mobo a few months after I bought it and it defaulted the purchase date into the day I registered it without even asking for my purchase date.. which is nice. maybe try that in case nobody can help you and you run into more problems.

I created a ticket and it's waiting for a review by a corsair representative. I'm seriously still hoping that it ain't a PSU problem cause shipping it back is a pain in the a**
