which 1060 to get

hello i am thinking of buying a 1060 but i am fairly new to computer stuff and i am not sure what type of 6 gb 1060 to get. i don't care about looks or RGB and I've never overclocked before any help would be appreciated

Gigabyte, MSI or EVGA branded GTX 1060s

All of which will work great just search them up and see what one you like best. I can't refer you one since you haven't provided enough information.

Well generally said the following are very good options since they offer a good overall package in terms of performance. Performance of the pascal cards is very depending on how good and stable GPU boost can work. So better coolers give you more bang for buck. Unless it's not possible to fit also always go dual fan atleast over single fan. Single fan small cards have much less room to transfer heat overall, what affects performance.

The 3 I recommend:

1: EVGA with the ACX 3.0 coolers

2: MSI with the Gaming series

3: Asus Strix

My prefered card would be EVGA since it has good eprformance while also being silent. Strix is also high performer but makes more noise (no jet though) while the MSI is vice versa: a bit lower performance but very silent. But it's all in margin where my personall biggest part of choosing would depend on pricing and availability...
