What are your temperatures like? Try running HWMonitor to see if there's anything that looks out of the ordinary. Usually you don't want a temperature much higher than 80-85C on your CPU or GPU, as that's when they typically begin to throttle. Aside from that, how old is this PC, and when did this start happening? Do you know what your PC's specs are (CPU, RAM, graphics card model, motherboard model, power supply model, etc)? Is it a laptop or desktop? One thing to try up front would be to reset your CMOS, which on a desktop is usually done with either a jumper or button on the motherboard, or just by pulling the coin cell battery while the power is disconnected.

Check the event viewer to see if there's anything out of place, but if there's any storahci entries which state that it has been sending reset commands to the hard drive then all you need to do is install the specific AHCI/SATA drivers for your motherboard/computer.
