cheap and stable NAS

Hi

I plan to get a NAS for my manily. What is the cheapest and stableset wway to do that.Is it a good idea use a Raspberry Pi to creat my own nas?

Nah dude, raspberry pi is too hard to work with and not flexible enough. not to mention not being powerful enough to sustain a RAID array, and not having the option to add in a RAID card. maybe this:
