so the problem is my i7 4770 with a reference fan cooling unit that i have been using for 3? maybe 4 years and recently, it has been quite loud. i didnt care about fan speed before so i dont remember the previous rpms but currently, i am having a 1120 idle(triple checked). and it is super loud. of course i clean dust and stuff regularly and my gpu is a 960 with the not spinning when cool fan thing so it is certain that the cpu cooler is that loud.

so tl;dr

loud cpu fan

what to do?(before suggesting replacing it because i upgraded my xps and the by the looks of it, i'm gonna have a hard time replacing the fan)

oh and by the way

does the remember me dont work only for me on this site?

The stock cooler is not optimised in any way for low-noise operation, I strongly suggest you replace it with something like a Hyper 212 EVO or Cryorig M9i.

What kind of settings do you have in your BIOS for the CPU fan curve? There should be an option that lets it run quieter but at the cost of system temps.

The fans that Intel uses are known to have a fairly short lifespan so it may just be near the end of the fans life. You can find fans that use the same mounting holes without needing a back plate and they work just fine for cooling.

Intel Xeon 1650 V0 (4.4GHz @1.4V), ASRock X79 Extreme6, 32GB of HyperX 1866, Sapphire Nitro+ 5700XT, Silverstone Redline (black) RL05BB-W, Crucial MX500 500GB SSD, TeamGroup GX2 512GB SSD, WD AV-25 1TB 2.5" HDD with generic Chinese 120GB SSD as cache, x2 Seagate 2TB SSHD(RAID 0) with generic Chinese 240GB SSD as cache, SeaSonic Focus Plus Gold 850, x2 Acer H236HL, Acer V277U be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4, Logitech K120, Tecknet "Gaming" mouse, Creative Inspire T2900, HyperX Cloud Flight Wireless headset, Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

What are your temps and have you tried lowering fan speeds?

when i am idle it's 42 celsius-ish and i do not want to lower fan speeds

Idle temps don't really matter--look at load temps instead.

Why don't you want to lower fan speeds?

load temps reach 70-80 celsius, and i have 2 fans on my case and both of them are not so reliable, so i'm scared of the outcome when i lower the fan speed

edit: load fan sound is super loud

That isn't even that high. You're fine up to 80-90c at load.

Are your case fans also too loud? You were originally referring to the stock cooler.

oh, i think you misunderstood. i am complaining about the loudness of the fan, not the temp. the case fans are almost non-existent so i usually leave my case open (doesnt make a difference, easier for me to clean dust)

Lower fan speeds will decrease cooling and raise temps. What I'm indicating when pointing towards the temps is that you have headroom to lower fan speeds with temps being fine.
