windows 10,crashes when virtualbox start

Hello all,

I recently upgraded my WIndows 10 and before I started using Hyper-V, I used virtualbox for my school assignments. But when I installed hyper-v onto Windows 10, everytime I start a virtual machine from Virtualbox, the Windows crashes and go to bsod, so when I turned off hyper-v again, it works fine. 

anyone explain to me how is this happening?

To be honest, I don't necessarily need to run Hyper-V but I could need it for school assignment in the future, but if this issue persists, I won't be able to do what I want..lol

Never tried Virtualbox so never seen this before.

 

I'd recommend just getting VMWare really.

Or make sure you use a 32bit OS as the guest as you don't need virtualisation enabled

is virtualisation enabled in your BIOS?

if so then something is wrong

if not, enable it thats probly why it's crashing

it should be enabled, then how am i be able to run virtual machines in the first place?

I specifically have to use virtualbox for it.... ( i hate virtualbox) no other choice.

If VirtualBox is set up to use hardware assisted virtualization (Intel VT-x, AMD-V etc), then Hyper-V is already making use of the feature and you won't be able to proceed. You'll want to disable that in the guest config for VirtualBox anyway, as last I checked their non-assisted core was actually just as fast and more compatible (but it's been a while; I've mostly used VMWare Fusion recently).
