So i recently bought metal gear rising : revengance on sale ( had the 360 version , but game is fucking good ) , and for some reason it will not run properly on my hardware .

At 1080p high it barely manages 40 FPS with frequent dips below 30 , ( goes as low as single digits )

even dropping to 720P low sssetting doesn't help ( it barely improves at all )

Can anyone help with this ?

the game recommends a gtx 650 or equivalent , power which my rig should easily be able to provide .

Why is my PC running the game worse than my 11 year old xbox 360 could ?

specs: 3770k 4.5ghz

8gb ddr3 1600

290X @ 1080mhz

afterburner shows the gpu is loaded , but it never quite reaches 100% ( stays in the 90's ). everything else is within normal parameters

Maybe try reinstalling the drivers or the game? I don't know, even my old Gtx 480 ran this game fine,  although it's capped at 50fps.

been there , done that . I reinstalled the game twice and installed the latest drivers

Then I'm all out of solutions. The only thing that remains is restoring Windows or trying another card, even the iGPU
