Simple SSD installation question

This is my first time ever getting an SSD, hype.

 

I have a question: I have 2 slots for storage devices (Dell's OP MT 760) - both are already occupied.

DVD Drive (CDs) & HDD.

 

Can I pop out the Optical Drive (since I never use it anymore) and use the SSD instead? Ty!

Yeah, just takes some double sided tape (or single lol doesnt matter). Or you can put it just about anywhere, doesn't have to be special

One thing - do (ssds in general) come with required cables? If not, where could I get the required sata cables?

Mine came with my motherboard, but if you take out your CD drive you can use those. It uses SATA power and data just like a harddrive

You could get the cables literally anywhere though as long as your motherboard has an data slot and your PSU another power slot

That's what I thought, wanted to make sure. I'll use the CD drive connectors then.
