You now have a digital entitlement license for win10, which is based off of the hash id of your system (a numeric string that identifies your hardware) instead of a product key. That id is stored by Microsoft and makes it easy to reactivate win10 on your current system, but likely won't work if trying to activate it on a different system. You could try verifying that your current activation is tied to your Microsoft account, and then try telling that account that you upgraded your system when prompted by the software during the activation of the new system, but it'll probably fail.
