hyper x cloud headset mic not working

Hay guys so i just bot the hyper x cloud headset and i plugged in the mic and its not working. I have a slplitter because i just have a laptop so i have everything plugged into the  right thing and it just wont work so can someone help me please. Here ae screenshots of the setting for the mic.

theres one plug that goes into the computer and the other end has to pplugs for the headphones and the other one is for the mic

And your laptop supports a 4 pole plug in the headphone jack?

Looking at the headset, I see it have a green plug for the headphone, and a pink plug for the mic, you plug each one to the respective jack, if your laptop only have 1 jack those usually have the connection for  using a 4 pole plug, like smartphones.  That's when you use the adapter you selected in the pictures I posted to convert the 2 signals into 1.

That could be why the mic is not working.

No it was plugged in all the way when I use it I was just in a rush to take a pic that it's not plugged in all the way lol

Ah ok.   Well have you test if the mic is working with your phone?  Should work with the same adapter you have connected now.

Then the problem should be in the headset.  Does it have a mic volume control or switch?  is the mic plug all the way in the headphone?
