Hey everyone, I would like to know if I wanted to stream, what type of PC am I looking at? It's not going to be used for a lot of hardcore games such as BF1 or anything that'll need a super expensive graphics card or anything, but I just want to be able to stream from it via OBS or something.

Thank you in advance :)

Best regards, Mikkel

BTW, BF1 isn't a hard to run game, I can play it on my 950.

It would be optimal if you could get a quad-core CPU, i7 would be very nice.
SSD to write to because speeeeeeddd.
If you aren't playing "hardcore" games, an rx 470 would be nice, even a gtx 1060 3gb.
And a good internet connection.

I'd get at least an i5 or really any recent quad-core Intel CPU for the CPU and a GTX 1060 to keep you above 60 FPS. An 8-core FX processor should also do the trick if you're considering AMD, but these processors are pretty old and won't be upgradeable to anything made past 2014.

If you get an NVIDIA card, you can use NVIDIA's hardware encoding with OBS (specify NVENC as the encoder), which will take the load for encoding off of your CPU and GPU, similar to ShadowPlay. In this case, get a 6 GB GTX 1060. A used GTX 970 or 980 should also work. I think AMD has VCE for hardware encoding. In that case, get an 8 GB RX 480/470 which should have the best value, though do not spend more than $220 on the RX 480 or $190 on an RX 470, as those are terrible deals.

You'll need at least 8 GB of RAM and you'll need quite a bit of space to store BF1.
