SATA and SAS

I was looking at getting the 250gb 850 evo. However the seller of the drive says that it has a SAS interface, my motherboard is SATA. Will this work in my system?

Unfortunately no.  SAS cannot use the SATA cables/connectors.

An 850 EVO has a SATA interface not SAS. Unless it is a Samsung enterprise SSD, which even those mostly use SATA, it will be SATA. SAS is only used on the most expensive very high end SSDs which can cost more than entire computers.

At under $100, it's definitely SATA. You can check the reviews to see people are installing it in their computers and I highly doubt anybody buying an SSD off eBay has a high end RAID card.

100% it is SATA, it's on the official product sheet plus I own an 850 EVO and 840/850 Pros.
