Im looking to upgrade my G3258 to something else. I play with very low settings and would play also after upgrade. (Settings: https://gyazo.com/cfc1f04240a020b80705266757f118ed). Im interested to hear what you get with your processors so i can look for something i could get +200 stable with these settings. Im mostly looking to buy used like Q6600 (+Mobo and such) or something like that but new Haswell i5 are option too. Also i would like to hear if someone has i3 what the get with that?

Intel Pentium G3258 @ 4.3GHz, Asus Z97-AR, Evga GTX 480, Kingston HyperX Fury 2x4Gb and Kingston HyperX Blu 2x2Gb, Antec Earthwatts 500W, Samsung HD103UJ and HD502HJ, Custom water cooling loop for CPU and GPU

Also, I'm willing to bet you don't have a monitor that has a 200+Hz refresh rate. It'll only display up to what your monitor can support, which in most cases is 60Hz

This is correct, what he wants is over 60 frames STABLE, never to dip very much.

Exactly and if you say you don´t see difference between 60 and 120 with 60hz monitor you´re just wrong. I have heard several times that with 144hz monitor it would be good to have at least almost 250fps to run it reliably

Yes i dont have and its true that my monitor cant display higher than 60fps but with 200fps it has always newer frame to display than with around 100 which will make it appear a lot smoother.

my friend had his FX 6300 w/ 270x run 200 fps stable, not sure what resolution but probably 1920x1080 by knowing him. I have an i5 4590 with an rx 470 and i get 280ish fps on dust 2 on maxed out everything.
