iTunes not recognizing connected iPhone

Go to solution Solved by DarkEnergy,

Fixed it. I had to manually search my computer for the driver. Used this guide: http://www.technipages.com/itunes-fix-iphone-or-ipod-not-detected-in-windows

I could post this on Apple forums but I wouldn't get a reply until some other day. I haven't backed up my iPhone since I downloaded iOS 10. I fired up iTunes, it had an update so I updated it, after all of that I plugged in my iphone and tapped "allow" for access of the iPhone. However iTunes isn't showing my iPhone. In fact AnyTrans, a software I sometimes use to put stuff on it doesn't recognize an iPhone connected either. However, it shows up in explorer fine and I can access photos and such in explorer. What's up? Am I missing something, is there something else I can do or do I need to reinstall iOS like always. Whenever I have a problem with iOS, Apple's solution is always resetting the device. Because of that I've had to reset it multiple times in version 7,8,9, and hopefully not 10 this time.

Same problem with me, latest iTunes and iPhone 6s on 9.3.3. It seems to be a bug.. Try reinstalling iTunes, that may help.

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

Try disabling password unlock and changing your iphones autolock setting to "never". reconnecting your device could fix the problem. I have to do this with my ipad running ios 10.0.1  every time I want to sync it.

Disable Password

Settings

Touch ID and Password

Turn Passcode off

Disable Autolock

Settings

Display and Brightness

Auto Lock

Select "Never"

Tried that, didn't fix it. Interestingly enough, I tested my iPhone on a laptop running the same os with the same version of iTunes and it worked. I don't get it. What else is interesting is that for the laptop, every time I plug it in it doesn't ask me to allow access. On my desktop it does. Also, something happened with my storage availible. A couple hours ago I had around 200mb free. Now it reads spelled out "Zero kb" wtf???? Shouldn't it say 0 bytes instead?
