Hello everyone! That's not my first time asking for this but I really want an answer and I can't find answers for what I research. So I have a hp prebuilt pc (I know I should have gone for a custom pc and building it myself) and this prebuilt pc (hp pavillon 550-127c with an amd a10-7800 quad-core processor at 3.5 ghz with 8gb of ram) come with a poor 180w psu. That means that no gpu can run with that. The problem is to find one that fits perfectly. Because I have a low budget, I really want a amd radeon rx 460 or an r7 370 (I found one cheap at 100$ cad) but finding a little 500w psu isn't simple (well from all the research I did). I found a hp 300w replacement psu but I want one like an evga or a corsair psu. If I remember well the 300w replacement psu fits perfectly in my case wich is the obvious problem. Buying a case + a psu + a gpu is somehow expensive and I need to change everything to the new case and I don't want to that. The 300w psu I'm talking is : https://www.amazon.ca/HP-Power-Supply-Regulated-5188-2625/dp/B001RQ4Z7A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1476062596&sr=8-1&keywords=hp+power+supply+300+watt . After one topic on PcPartPicker and now on this one, I would really like answers. Thanks for reading and sorry for the bad english, I'm french :). Have a nice day :)

Well, with an i7, GTX 1080, Full tower and flashy lights, it can obviously only be for one thing:

Get this one for $50 and you'll thank me later when you're able to use it for a better build, or simply because it will live for longer.

the HP unit might have proprietary connectors, without a shot of the MOBO, I wouldn't risk an ATX PSU.

Changing the case would be more complicated than everything I think, I know someone used a betek or something like this in his hp 550-126 on Youtube but I was it was not the best psu so I'm really confused. The amazon one I posted was a ''replacement'' one so I guess it's made for this ?

After researching your computer an ATX PSU (the EVGA I linked for instance) will work just fine. Can you take a photo of your computer's guts to confirm?

So a normal psu like the evga will not change everything ? Sorry, psu's aren't my thing :/:)

Most PSUs are internal, an external PSU we usually call a power brick.
