BIOS Reset on Boot

Alright, so I have been trying to solve this problem for a while and I cannot find anything that helps. When I reboot my computer the BIOS always resets. It goes to the original post screen. The  "American..." page with the triangle. I believe this started when I switched from HDMI to DP but I am not totally sure. However, I have found a way around this, if I unplug my computer from the wall, it will boot normally. I am thinking it might be due to a cheap-ish power supply? Any ideas would be very helpful.

Do you know if your motherboard has a reset jumper?

I am not sure. Where would it be located or where could I find instructions to locate it?

It would be a set of small jumper pins physically on the motherboard something like that

I have an Asus z97 Pro-Gamer motherboard. I'll look in the manual.

Is the goal to Clear RTC RAM?

I tried to Clear RTC RAM but it wouldn't boot with the pins jumped.

I used the pin method instructed by ASUS twice and even removed the onboard battery.
