Question about NAS

Me and my family are renting a place for now... If I setup a NAS will the owners of the house be able to access the files on the NAS?

Do they have access to your wifi network? If so make sure your nas requires credentials (Username/Password)

Does more than 1 family (yours and theirs) live within the same place and share wifi? If so, then default settings for most NASs is that everyone has access. You would need to set up the NAS share to require a name/password as mentioned above. What brand NAS do you have or planning to purchase?

Depending on the NAS, you can limit access a variety of ways to include accounts and IP addresses.
