Windows Boot Device Not Found repeatedly

iamdarkyoshi

My asus is being an anus. It happens at random, but after shutting down or whatever, when I turn it back on, it says that it can't find anything to boot from.

I haven't been able to get it to do it reliably.

Running windows repair from a win10 flash drive fixes it, and it will then boot fine.

Why does this keep happening? According to the smart data, the OS SSD and storage HDD are perfectly healthy. When it fails to boot, the bios still sees the drives, so its not like its a bad connection or something...

No, the laptop still sees the drive and I can see its files if I boot to a ubuntu flash drive, but windows boot manager is clearly not working

If it were a connectivity error he'd be getting something like DPC_WATCHDOG VIOLATION.
