I'm having some strange issues with Spotify, which I think might be caused by the drivers for my Logitech G35 headset. If I'm playing music and I start up a game, the music will stop playing and I will be unable to start it again, even if I try to play another, different song. Spotify just gives me the message "Can't play the current track." This is fixed by restarting Spotify and isn't really a major issue, but I find it odd since these issues have started happening recently and in conjunction with a total loss of sound in X-Plane 10. Windows also sometimes shows an error saying "Windows has detected that drivers for this device are causing issues" or something similar, can't remember exactly ATM.

I have tried reinstalling Logitech Gaming software, making sure that all traces of the program are gone before installing again. The issue is fixed for a while (and sound in XP10 returns) but swiftly returns.

Does anyone know what is causing this? I'm looking at maybe upgrading my CPU/mobo in the future, which requires reinstalling Windows, which might fix the problem.

If it worked after a clean/fresh install of the drivers, try doing it again. And then disable all driver updates for that software/product. Maybe an hidden update is causing the issue.

Secondly, with windows 7, I once saw an option where I could allow/deny only one piece of software to acces a sound card... Maybe that could give you a hint @ windows 10?

Will try this later.
