Tell your brother that he doesn't need to spend 1k for those games. He could save lots of money. $700-$800 would be just as good if he wants to save. If he's fine with 1k, that that's still cool tho

Okay so this is great, the i3 6100 can even be overclocked a little more using the base clock method, except I would ditch the SSD and go for a 1060 6gb, your GPU can carry your CPU pretty hard in most games.

This build can run all games that you've listed.

There's barely any storage, why didn't you add a 1TB HDD? And with a budget like 1k, a GTX 1070 and i5 6500 could have been worked in.

Because I personally don't use over 100gb including games, and few other programs. and you can't fit gtx 1070 and i5 6500 in 1K.

Would getting a 970 or 980 be cheaper or 1060?

I personally use a 980ti. Got it when it was released a year ago and I see no reason to get 1080 yet. Not sure how the Pascal series price wise is a better deal.

Cheaper would be better he says, as he doesn't really want to spend 1500 if he has too.

You can with 1.5 k. But if it's close to 1k, then an RX 480 is good too.
