Posted October 15, 2016 I'm building a pc for the first time, and I've been using PC Part Picker to check for issues/incompatibility. But I'd like the compatibility to be checked from experienced pc builders before I buy or do anything because I'm afraid that the website or I may have overlooked something. PC PART PICKER LINK: 2016 White Build Or if you'd rather see the parts listed (along with Amazon links for your convenience): CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Enermax ETS-T40F-W 105.9 CFM Cooler Thermal Compound: Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver 3.5g Thermal Paste Motherboard: Asus SABERTOOTH Z170 S ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory Storage: Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB SC Gaming ACX 3.0 Video Card Case: Phanteks Enthoo Luxe ATX Full Tower Case (Comes with: 1 x 200mm fan in front, 1x 140mm fan up top, and 1 x 140mm fan in the rear) Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home Full - USB 32/64-bit Keyboard: Corsair K70 LUX RGB Wired Gaming Keyboard Mouse: Corsair Scimitar RGB Wired Optical Mouse NOTE: The following parts are not included on PC Part Picker but these will also be included in the build. I've done research on how to choose a psu, but I became confused and randomly chose the cheapest one from a list on the website. I think it may be important to add that I would prefer a fully modular psu. I would like to get custom cables, so it would be very helpful to me if you could list which cables I would need to purchase as well. I used the Cooler Master Power Supply Calculator and here are my results: Load Wattage: 375 W Recommended PSU Wattage: 425 W Also, just in case you wanted another source's estimate... PC PART PICKER Estimated Load Wattage: 392 Any advice or recommendations is very much appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to help me out! Posted October 15, 2016 Most newbies don't take their time when building. I'd suggest you do one last pass on your gear before continuing since it looks like you could cut costs in and improve some areas.
