I'm just starting up on this forum, and I have a question about PC storage using RAID. I have a Samsung 750 120GB SSD, and a Western Digital 1TB HDD, and I'm considering getting a second SSD so I can set up a RAID 0 configuration for the two SSDs and use the HDD as a backup. Is it worthwhile going through this, or should I stick to my plan of using the SSD for the OS and the HDD for storage of everything else?
Would greatly appreciate some feedback, thanks :)

Personally, I would say yes. I think RAID 0 is just not worth because of the failure rate.

So I'll stick to the original plan then. I just didn't know if using a RAID 0 config would actually benefit my system or make a considerable difference. Thanks for the advice!

Long story short; RAID 0 is a waste of money on SSDs, unless you need the higher sequential speeds for very specific workloads.

Simple explanation: an SSD is basically already one large RAID array. Putting SSDs in RAID thereby doesn't really add anything for most daily usage (except extra overhead).
