I need help regarding to my pc build. I don't know if it's compatible or will work.

I also use a Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus - 500W Power Supply

any tips/advice on what needs to be changed or if I need a psu of higher power would be appreciated. Already have storage.

Yes it's all compatible. I would recommend getting a 2x4GB Amit of RAM instead of 1x8. If you're doing 1x8 for upgrade ability, I would recommend just getting 16GBs now

Maybe go with a Z170 board if you want to go with a "K" skew later on, but other than that nice build

Single channel RAM limits bandwidth with the CPU

its actually SKU, but it's Amy intel processor ending with a K (6600K, 6700K, 4790K, etc). It means you can overclock it. The boards and chips are more expensive but offer more performance through overclocking

So you recommend me buying 2 x 8gb ram or 1 x16 gb ram?

Oh I see. The mobo I specified doesn't support K? hmmm.

you shouldn't buy any single stick of ram. even if its a 64GB stick of RAM. get either 2x4 or 2x8
