It depends on what game you play, i would say that it will be a major bottleneck, but that cpu is overclockable so you can alleviate that a bit. One thing I always tell people is to search on youtube: "<cpu> <gpu> benchmark" of their current system and check the games they play then do the same for the new parts they want to get and that will give you an idea of what performance increase you will see. Sorry don't have time to do it for you right now.

No, you probably will not get max performance from the GPU with that CPU in most newer games.  But so long as you can upgrade the CPU/MoBo in the next year or so then you should be able to get good use of the GPU for another 2-3 years.

If a CPU/MoBo upgrade is not feasible within the next 1-2 years then you need to rethink sinking that much money into a GPU.

Pairing that GPU with your CPU is a really bad idea. You should look to upgrade your CPU before anything else.

As eminent says it depends but for most likely or fps games you shouldn't worry much...trust me on that your CPU is not so bad

My PC is a fast boyo:

That athlon can support an R9 380 TOPS. So you need to upgrade the CPU first - otherwise get an RX 470.
