I will be using Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut or Liquid ultra, probably the latter since it is one euro cheaper, still undecided. But I have come across this post https://forums.anandtech.com/threads/bare-die-testing-a-delidded-3770k-an-h100-and-9-different-tims.2285595/page-3#post-34297433

Is this guys legit? Results show that NT-H1 is comparable to Liquid Ultra

this guy did not put back the IHS did he ?..... don't copy him.... put it back and use a non conductive thermal paste on IHS (NT-H1, Gelid....)

also, non conductive cannot be as much performant as conductive pastes

be careful when applying conductive paste, protect the SMDs around the DIE :

sry can't know how much you knew.

to answer more abruptly :

never tried this paste on TIM, don't believe it

edit: don't believe it can do the same as CLU with IHS back on

Regular thermal paste will "pump out" from the die over time, and not last as long as liquid metal would.

From my experience Liquid Ultra is the most easiest LM to apply.
