I've been using a Apple's 5s for a while now, but only recently, it has been draining battery life much faster than expected. A similar thing happened with my friend. Are batteries supposed to die suddenly? There has been a time when I used to charge my phone overnight, but I don't do that anymore. Has anyone encountered this before?

ALSO: something very interesting that I noticed is... I have a LED headlamp, and when I angle my phone so that I can see the lamp's light right off center on the phone's screen, I can see the lock screen (the top info bar and time and date in the middle). What's up with that? My guess is that the LCD is still on, and that the only reason the screen doesn't display anything is because the backlight is off. Are phones supposed to do this? Might this be related to my battery being drained?

Kind of, yeah, after a certain time batteries start to die.

Seems like screen burn (See teckquickie for more precise information)

This problem surfaced in the matter of a day. (It's probably an app that I installed that's taking up more power than average actually). It is definitely NOT screen burn. If so the screen burn displays the correct time and date o.O

This just probably means your battery passed some kind of threshold.

Concerning the screen, it used to have that with my Samsung Galaxy S III (mind you, it's not really the same kind of display technology, so I don't really know).
