How do you run games above native resolution?

You can't, but you could record 720p and then have your recording/editing software double the size.

Depending on what you record with, you can set output to be 1080p while input is lower.

i don't know what you mean but you can scale the resolution in the Nvidia drivers. it will render for example 2560X1440 then scale it to 1920x1080. it won't look any better but it will run about the same as fi you just ran at 2560X1440.

what video card you using?

if its a nvidia or amd (ati) the included software (nvidia control panel or amd catalist control centre), should have an option to run a custom resolution. enter 1920x1080. and apply. your pc is now running at 1080p. now just start your game and select it. if that doesnt work i think both nvidia and amd software have an option to set a custom res.

check this out as well

hope this helps

edit: forgot to mention when you set it to 1080p it may look worse or even may not even work for your display.

if you get a mode not supported or the like then your tv/display doesnt support 1080p (thats prob why its not the native res
