I'm building my first pc and was wondering how I did picking my parts. I will be doing moderate gaming mostly rpg games and some fps. I already have a 27inch 1080 monitor so I'll stay at that resolution for now. Is there anything I should change?

I know the psu is way overkill but I got it on sale cheaper then a 500 watt.

1. i5 6500 cheaper. But 6600 is not a bad choice

2. Not that gpu. Get an aftermarket. People said that reference card sounds like jet engine. Even my 760 sounds like it is launching a Voyager 1 space ship

3. NZXT is nice case but that case will do too. Seems too much of money put there

4. 550M is more than enough. 750w is too much. Save money here too

5. Rest is fine. But some people reported drive failure on Seagate so maybe WD Blue instead?

Get a MSI Gaming X 480, great cooler. That PSU is extremely expensive, get a Corsair RMx 550W, higher quality, fully modular and only $5 more. 16GB of ram is not needed, 8GB is enough for games, you can buy more in the future if your mobo has 4 dimm slots.

i5-6600k (4.6) | Dark Rock 3 | MSI GAMING X 1060 6GB | 8GB DDR4 | 120GB SSD & 1TB HDD | Crystal 460x

 | Acer GN246HL 1080p 24" 144hz & Acer G246HL 1080p 24" 60hz |

PSU Tier List | PC Partpickers: US Canada Australia UK

1.Case could be better. Nzxt 340 maybe.

2.You can get a better psu its called Evga g2 550 watt for like $99. its more appropriate and it will perform better and more efficient.

3.Your CPU too overkill for the game that u want to play.

4.If u can save more get the 1060 its better than rx 480. but if u cant dont buy the reference version.

^ this.   Only exception is that i would get This PSU .  Personally for me, its the only PSU i've owned that i haven't had any problems with (so far).  Also,  like others have stated, 8gb of ram is plenty.  Oh....and if you had your heart set on the RX 480 Check this out

I heard that was the best Rx 480 since I know some of the cards were made with worse PCBs and coolers.

Its the best reviewed one i've seen so far, granted i don't have any actual hands on experience with this card.  If you haven't already seen it,  watch this.

dude.. you know that the G2 is much better right??
its fully modular with 80+ gold efficiency..with a fair price..

So it is gold....somehow didn't see that ha... thanks for pointing that out.  Both power supplies are an excellent choice, depending on budget/needs of course.  Bottom line- stick with a psu thats modular.  Much easier to work with, and they are usually made with higher quality components.
