Just wanted to check on this, as I know about just running the PSU to run the pump/res to fill and test the loop... I have one of those 2-pin bridging plug 24-pin connectors with my EVGA PSU that I know to connect to the end of the 24-pin ATX cable... but I am wondering if I have to disconnect everything else? I have already connected all my devices, SSD's, LED's, PCI-E, EPS-12V etc. to the PSU, but do I need to disconnect ALL that beforehand, i.e remove all cables from my PSU except the 24-pin and a molex (which I need for the pump of course)? I wasn't sure if the bridging plug essentially bypasses all that anyway?

Yes, I would assume so, just in case. Just disconnect them at the base of the power supply just to be sure. (and if you don't have a modular psu it's worth the time unless your components block unplugging the connectors just to be sure.) some YouTubers even reccomend using a second psu so there must be some reason why, however I would assume without the mobo, no power should be sent to the components, although maybe it circulates. Better safe than sorry. Probably better to wait for someone with a definite answer but hope my opinion of "you spent x amount so better play it safe " helps

Yes. Nothing should be plugged in other than the pump. You can just disconnect everything at the PSU end if you don't want to unplug the component end.

If you have things plugged in, they will be receiving power. If you have a leak, you risk shorting the components out and killing them. If you disconnect them, you can dry them off before you put power through them, so they don't die.

OK thanks, that makes sense. I will disconnect at PSU end given I have routed most of cables now, so easier to just plug them back in when done. I will be running the leak test with distilled, then assuming all OK, emptying and refilling with my coolant, so after that's all done I will connect everything back up.
