Samsung Galaxy s5 Issues

So my Galaxy S5 is having some issues right now. I turn it on and I heard the sound and everything and see the lights at the bottom and the top. But I don't see any screen display. I have tried taking the battery out and holding the power bottom and I have tried almost everything on youtube. Can someone please help me.

well do you have a 3rd party software that dims the back lights. Try hold the Volume up button, the Home button, and the Power button together until you see the Android on screen.

Mine has been black screening lately too. It's intermittent for me, the only way i can force it to happen is to make a call. when I hang up the screen doesn't come back. this leads me to believe the face/proximity sensor is a bit finicky. That is just a guess though.
