Hello everyone,

soon my internet will be upgraded to max speeds of 100/40 DSL with vectroing.

I use a Fritzbox 7390 (no idea how common this brand is in the US/CA.. I am from germany). I only need it as a modem to bridge everything to my PFSense-box.

I have read online, that the 7390 won´t be able to handle the full speed my internet will be able to offer.

So now I am searching for a modem, which supports the full bandwith, and also vectoring.

Some people recommend the Zyxel VMG1312-B Series.

But some say, that it's build quality is pretty cheap.

Others say the DrayTek Vigor 130 is good.

I have no Idea if those two are any good, or if I should buy some other device.

Please Note: I do NOT need any features, besides it being a modem!

Thanks in Advance!

Ich nehme an, du bekommst einen Vectoring Anschluss der Telekom, nimm doch einfach einen Speedport W724V....

I will just keep on talking english, just in case :)

I won´t use a Speedport. I (any many, many, many) others have/had so many problems using those.

I am sorry, but those are just a piece of crap in my oppinion.
