Audio Issue

Go to solution Solved by PaintChips,

If has a Creative Labs Soundblaster Recon3Di that is a known bug which impacts Windows 8.1/10 randomly under unknown reasons(high CPU, GPU or just a program which crashed while audio was playing, etc), some users find its possible to uninstall the driver and reinstall but Anniversary Update has made it worse. I gave up trying to figure out a solution since the problem is extremely random. Keep in mind it isn't just the Recon3Di, also happens on RealTek based H110, B150, H170 & Z170 boards too.

Personally I don't bother using onboard audio, I use a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 but then again I do audio work so external audio via USB or Firewire is a normal setup.

ok so i have a Gigabyte G1 Gaming Wifi mobo and randomly the audio starts sounding like static going through a tin can ... if a restart the computer it will go away ... sometimes it comes back after 10 min other times its gone for up to a month but it always comes back ... ive tried plugging my headset into the front and its still there i tried a usb adapter and its still there ... but if i switch the audio to my monitor which uses DP everything sounds perfect ... im wondering if anyone has had an issue similar to this ... also if i get a sound card and use that might it fix the problem

I had a Creative SoundBlaster ZX card that would do the same thing, I ended up going with an external DAC/AMP setup.
