Hi so I have another budget coming by the end of the month and I really cant decide what I will get, I have two option now and available here in my Country and Location.

Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB PHP ₱ 4,550 Estimated USD $91 ~ $102

ADATA SP550 480GB PHP ₱ 5,950 Estimated USD $119 ~ $133

and my Current SSD is a ADATA SP550 120GB that I got for PHP ₱ 1,500 ~ Estimated USD $30 ~ $33 and this SSD will go onto my Laptop that has a HDD to replace.

and to other option currently here in my area some SSD are hard to find so the only two option I have is Samsung SSD and ADATA SSD which is more common here.

Hope some one can help me with this Choices.

Hi there :)

What are you planning on using the SSDs for? Pretty much any SSD would give you good performance and should last long enough till the next upgrade if you are not doing anything storage demanding specific.

I would try to research some differences and specs such as NAND cell types and their features, controllers and known issues and advantages, maximum data write cycles, warranty, specific features as well as spec sheet performance.

Going around and checking reviews and feedback on the specific SSDs that you have chosen is also a pretty good idea.

Let me know if you need some info on these things :)

If OP is using the motherboard from their signature it doesn't look like M.2 form factor is an option, unless OP is willing to get an expansion card or other adapter for this.

M.2 SATA and 2.5" SATA SSDs don't really have any differences between performance. In order for OP to benefit even more from a M.2 drive they can consider a PCIe NVMe SSD if the motherboard supports it.

The Samsung 850 EVO performs considerably better and has a longer warranty. However, if you just want a lot of fast storage, get the ADATA SP550. It's still much better than a hard drive.

Yeah i have search and watch a lot of website and youtube video and i think i might go back to Samsung 850 EVO and go get 500GB

Yeah i might stop using the ADATA SP550 for now, and i might go with a Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB or Should i go with 250GB SSD and 1TB WD Black? for Storing Data.

Nope M.2 is not an option but PCI-E is but in our Country i never saw any shop that sell a PCI-E SSD.

Yeah PCI-E is Supported but i cant Budget that.

I can give at least a $200 USD budget for my Storage then after that by the end of the month when my 950 will be bought i might go for a 1060.

If you decide on SSD+HDD, you could replace the 1tb wd black with a 1tb blue that still has 7200rpm to potentially save some money with very little sacrifice. That said, unless you need the extra space that offers, I'd go with the 500GB evo

CPU: AMD Sempron 2400+ / MOBO: Abit NF7-S2G / GPU: WinFast A180BT 64MB / RAM: Mushkin DDR333 256MBx2 / HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 120GB

Combining SSDs and HDDs is a very popular and good trend as not all usages require fast storage and are more write-intensive so that's where you could use a HDD instead of a SSD.

WD Black is a great performance drive with long warranty and excellent capabilities when it comes to extensive and heavier workloads and has a 5 year long warranty. It should be a great drive.

Since you will already be using a SSD for your demanding applications and workloads you could easily go for WD Blue for your massive storage drive.

Let me know if you need info on those drives,
