I built my first custom PC last September, as previously mentioned in a earlier post and originally I was using Windows 7 Professional without any issues.

I then upgraded to Windows 10 Pro using the free upgrade and then I started to notice problems with my PC.

If I shut down Windows 10 and then came back to the PC a few hours later or the following day, it would not POST. No display on the screen, no Power or HDD led, and to turn off the PC I had to turn it off by the switch at the PSU. If I turned it straight back on it would boot fine.

After troubleshooting I couldn't find anything wrong with my PC and put it down to possible PSU issue. But a test with another PSU ruled this out. As a last resort I put Windows 7 back onto my PC and ever since the problem has not happened.

My PC now turns on fine every time, as it did previously with Windows 7.

Could this be a installation problem of Windows 10?

I would like to go back to Windows 10 at some point in the future but don't want this issue to re-occur.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar with Windows 10?
