Best Budget AMD Crossfire?

Hey guys! Wondering what is the best option for 1080p high/ultra gaming graphics cards are for AMD corssfire on a budget?

I have a pretty sweet system, the let down is my gpu, I have a broken GTX660, My motherboard supports crossfire and I'd like to make use of it because nerdfactor.

My system is not a bottleneck, it couldn't bottleneck a Titan, so don't worry about that.

Different systems can run differently.

"Some guy" doesnt raise hopes much does it.

a 6600K would bottleneck a single 1070 at 1080p in some games.

Forums are for helping others out. So back to the original question? Best budget amd crossfire? I'm on a very tight student budget.

Thanks Jorgen. Fair enough. You have any suggestions for amd gpus? I don't know much about the amd line up.

Best actual budget GPU's are used ones.

Going and picking up some 290's for 160 a pop at /r/hardwareswap no issue is the best way to do this IMO

For your budget this CF idea seems to have the reverse effect if you go current gen low to mid end cards. Why you want/need crossfire?

A single 480 or 1060 alone is excelent for 1080p and cheaper unless you go used. No risk of playing a game that has no proper multi gpu support. But guess a dual 470 or 1050 or since you are on budget maybe consider last gen cards or 2nd hand? But don't know prices where you live, so can't recommend what you should take, but take something like 290/390 or 970 then if price is good.

 

But realy doubt it's that usefull in this case, so I recommend go single card that runs 1080p properly on it's own. The 1060 can run 1060p 60 ultra fine or if your screen is freesync the 480 should be able to aswell. If you have higher refresh rate you will need the 470 in CF, but where I live that pricetag brings you over a 1070 that can run high fps 1080p perfect, getting back on that point of drawbacks from multi GPU setup.

Thanks Man, you're right, I'm looking into crossfire because I like to have a fun and different aspect to my pc. But amd cards are very scarce, almost non existent here in NZ. So yeah, you're absolutely right. All pc components cost an arm and a leg here.
