So I am a web and software developer, and my projects pile up pretty quickly, and of course I want to be able to share them with others.

Here are my main problems:

-Being able to host/share files on the internet and with others

-Having a 4tb backup with redundancy

So really I can't find a good way to share my projects with others, I don't want to have to use a unreliable website like megaupload or mediafire, I find these solutions are just annoying and can frequently fail.

How can I share my projects safely and effectively?

The other problem is finding a good 4tb backup NAS. The WD cloud mirror seemed alright at first, but a bit expensive in my opinion. I just want a nas enclosure with RAID support and dual ethernet if possible.

Thanks for all the help.

Google Drive.

You can share access to the entire drive with users, and it'll allow them to get what they need to.

Or share access to specific files/folders.  Just let them have access but not be able to delete files.

Plus they'll be able to access it on the go with a phone, or on a desktop.

For your NAS issue.

Yes, but google drive is limited to 1tb for most users, paying 99.99 a month for 10tb is pretty expensive. Personally I'm not a fan of google accounts themselves.

You say projects but are worried about 1TB limit in google drive.. are these projects actually movies and what not? My first thought was using bitbucket/sourceforge but that won't work for media.

One solution is to find a NAS solution (unraid/FreeNAS/Windows/etc..) that supports owncloud. Or setup a VPN (so many solutions IE untangle/OpenVPN) straight to the NAS and friends can just map a network drive.
