GPU Ports!

Go to solution Solved by zMeul,

doesn't really matter

the GTX1060 won't be capable of running multiple displays, in games, at decent framerate - unless I dunno, you play EVE with multiple clients each on it's own display

even so, you can't connect more than 4 displays at once

I've made a comparison between the ZOTAC GTX 1060 Mini 6GB and the GIGABYTE GTX 1060 Windforce OC 6GB and I've decided to get the ZOTAC version. Now, I realized both cards, although exactly the same 1060, have a different array of ports. The ZOTAC has five and the GIGABYTE has 4.
Which one has a better level of "future-proofing"? (Pics below) First one is from GIGABYTE followed by ZOTAC.

The DVI connectors (2 on the first board, 1 on the second) exist to support older monitors.  Anything new will be Display Port (or HDMI 2.0 maybe).   Display Port is (currently) the future (unless HDMI actually manages to catch up).

Future Proofing is pretty esoteric concept.   Do you mean the Thunderbolt 3 future?   or maybe the USB 3.1 type C future?
