New PC Build

I am looking to build a gaming PC for 1080p and 1440p in the future. I have a current parts list I'm just not sure if I should get different variants for more value and similar performance. also, I don't know whether to get a GTX 1070 or GTX 1080, what type of SSD to get or if I need a Sound Card just for gaming using an Audio Technica ATH-PDG1 Premium Open Back Gaming Headset. I'm using PC Case Gear and Umart for my purchases I live on the Gold Coast Queensland Australia with a budget of around $2500AUD  with the current build being around $2250AUD

CPU COOLER: Corsair H100i V2 - $159 PCCG

MOTHERBOARD: MSI Z170A GAMING M5 ATX LGA1151 - $299 PCCG

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory - $139(Purchased)PCCG

HDD Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200 RPM Internal Hard Drive - $109(Purchased)PCCG

GPU: Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1070 8GB G1 Gaming Video Card - $699 PCCG

CASE: NZXT H440 Black/Red ATX Mid Tower Case - $189 Umart

PSU: EVGA 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply - $159 PCCG

SSD: Will most likely purchase later as it does not affect performance only loading times but would like suggestions on what is best value within a reasonable price.

That's a good high end PC for gaming. You definitely won't need a gtx1080 for 1440p gaming unless you go for an ultra wide 3440x1440 monitor. I'd say your psu is more than you need unless your planning sli in the future and if you wanted to reduce costs further to get the ssd straight away, you don't really need memory as fast as 3200mhz. 

 

Sorry, just noticed that you've already bought the memory so forget that ?
