Hello,

I'm looking into purchasing the Origin PC EVO15-S 9-Series. Ive know about Origin PC for about 3 years now and their support just wows me! Ive never purchased a system from them but am eager to. I was considering an Asus ROG and New Razer Blade but neither company have very good support while Origin PC has 24/7 Lifetime support. What do you think I should go with? I really don't have any budget. I do want at least a 1080p screen and I DONT need an optical drive either, Id also prefer the laptop to be rather light. It won't become my main driver as I still have my two workstations at home, this laptop would just be for light gaming at my apartment and when on the go for school work and YouTube. Let me know. Also these would be the specs of the EVO15-s:

Get a model with a GTX 1060 or 1070 instead. And ask them via livechat if they have any motherboards with the new killer ethernet 2500 model instead of the older 2400.

The reason I'm not looking into an Origin PC laptop with a 10-series GPU is because their A LOT thicker... Ill let you know if they have the newer motherboards.

Ignore OriginPC. Pricey. Laptop warranty deals I haven't heard be amazing.

I say get this http://www.hidevolution.com/evoc-p650rp6-15-6-custom-built-gaming-laptop-w-nvidia-gtx-1060-w-g-sync.html

Kit it out how you want.

Also, there is no such thing as an "Origin Difference" except for the price (they're usually higher). As for pairing a 970M with a 4K screen, you're going to regret it in about 2 hours.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

How would you compare the Origin PC to a New Razer Blade or the Asus ROG?

All razer laptops are utter garbage and should be ignored forever.

ASUS needs hard mods and repasting to perform optimally and give the fans proper access to air. They're not worth the money and their support is trash. I don't even consider them as a company worth looking to buy anything from.

You want good midranged and high end laptops, you're looking at MSI's GT series and Clevo's lines. You want good top-end laptops, you're looking at Clevo's lines (and it probably will need a bit of user modding too) as well as a Prema mod.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

As much as I'm starting to consider MSI's laptops, they're disgusting. Thats what calls my attention to the New Razer Blade, it looks nice and stealthy like a MacBook Pro.

Except Razer is shit, like Macbooks. They look and feel nice on the outside but their internals are a damn mess; barely passable for anything, barely being cooled, barely anything. And their prices are way too overboard.

How would you say MSI's customer service is? Have you ever contacted them? Do they offer any type of warranties?

MSI's warranties are mostly lax in what you can do (repasting, etc) but they're not as lax as some of the Clevo rebranders like HIDevolution or Sager. I don't think their warranty is the best, but it's not as bad as ASUS/Razer/HP/Acer/etc.

Ok. I think I might have to settle/make a compromise for the MSI notebooks. Neither not as sleek and nice looking but have very good performance for less and have better support If I run into an issue. Which of the following would you recommend?

1st Option for MSI

2nd Option for MSI

Neither. Buy this http://www.hidevolution.com/evoc-p650rp6-15-6-custom-built-gaming-laptop-w-nvidia-gtx-1060-w-g-sync.html

Yes. That's a Clevo.

Do Clevos come in nicer Chasis?

Define "nicer". The chassis is sleek and durable and doesn't look "gamey".

Yea I just scanned some images for Clevos and it doesnt seem that they make any 'gamer' inspired aesthetics which I like. Ill be sure to search some more since It seems like Auorus uses Clevo laptops...

Aorus are Gigabyte laptops. Just their "premium" line, which don't openly carry the "Gigabyte" name.

Aorus

Gigabyte

MSI

ASUS

Razer

Dell

Alienware

Lenovo

HP

Acer

these do not use Clevos. You'll find Clevos from places like OriginPC (don't use there, use HIDevolution), Eurocom, Mythlogic, Sager, Pro-Star Computing, Venom Computing, Metabox, Aftershock PC, XMG/Schenker/mySN, Scan laptops UK, AVADirect, Digital Storm, iBuyPower, Falcon Northwest, etc are places that sell Clevos rebranded. This is not a comprehensive list, though.
